Globe City Council Candidate Packets Available Now

City of Globe official candidate packets for the 2016 primary and general elections are now available.

Contact Globe City Clerk Shelly Salazar at Globe City Hall (150 North Pine Street) from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or call 425-7146 Ext. 21.

Nomination paperwork and petitions need to be filed with the City Clerk beginning May 2 and no later than June 1.

The primary election is August 30 and the general election is November 8.

The Globe City Council seats that are open are District 1 (currently occupied by James P. Haley, II), District 2 (currently occupied by CM “Mike” Humphrey), District 5 (currently occupied by Eric Mariscal), and Mayor (currently occupied by Mayor Terence O. Wheeler).

Candidates must be 18 years of age and have lived in Globe for one year.
