Criminal Investigations re-opened after Internal Audit exposes problems

GLOBE-The Globe Police Department recently conducted an internal audit of criminal cases in a continuing effort to provide quality control. During this process, the department identified a number of criminal investigations that had not been completely investigated.

Once these cases were identified I briefed the Mayor, Council, and City Manager of the situation. Each of these cases have been reopened to ensure proper investigation and appropriate closure. The City of Globe’s primary focus is justice for the victims and the Globe Police Department has dedicated its full resources to the proper completion of each case.

At this time, each identified case remains an active and ongoing investigation and no other details are currently available for release. However, upon completion of the investigations in all identified cases, I will give a full statement.
