A 16-year-old male died from injuries sustained during an UTV rollover in Roosevelt on Nov. 26.
The Gila County Sheriff’s office received a 9-1-1 call from a male reporting that his friend was involved in a single vehicle UTV roll-over. The Tonto Basin Fire Department and deputies from the sheriff’s office were dispatched to the School House Point Boat ramp. The UTV driver, a 16-year-old from Gilbert, was treated at the scene and then airlifted to Maricopa County Medical Center, where he died due to his injuries.
The investigation is ongoing, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
