To all the volunteers at the High Desert Humane Society Cat Rescue:
It takes a special person to devote time and energy and to helping homeless animals. Some of our cats have never known a loving human.
Some have been horribly abused. Some have been thrown out of automobiles. Some have been taken to the dump and left to die. They don’t ask for much — only the right to live a comfortable life with humans who will make a lifetime commitment to them. In turn they will provide unconditional love.
Volunteers are very special people — it takes compassion and patience and knowing what to expect when working with different cat breeds and cats from different backgrounds. It takes enormous commitment. But in return you will receive satisfaction beyond your dreams — a special warm and fuzzy feeling that only animal lovers can know.
• Have enough to eat tonight
• Have a warm bed to sleep in tonight
• Have shelter from the sun, heat, cold, snow and rain

• Know there are people in this world who care about them and love them
Thank you so much for all you have done. For your time. For your dedication. It is truly appreciated and I want you to know that you are indeed a special person.
