Hold on to your hats and prepare for a long ride. The long desert summer has peaked over the horizon. The days of the wild west may be part of history but the hot and dusty streets remain. Escape the heat this weekend with a couple of special events.

James and the Giant Peach

The Cobre Valley Center for the Arts proudly presents the youth musical production of James and the Giant Peach. We have all enjoyed the great productions by the Summer Youth Musical Theater Program and now we have the chance to catch them in regular season action. This is the final weekend with show times Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.  The performances are on the third floor of the CVCA building on Broad Street in Downtown Globe. Tickets may be purchased at the front desk or by calling (928)425-0884.

American Legion Veterans Benefit Concert

The American Legion Veteran Benefits Concert will be held at the American Legion Hall on Broad Street in Downtown Globe, Arizona. Howlin Booty, Mighty Bison, Lost in Lies and We Are Changing all headline this all ages music show. The doors open at at 6pm and admission is $5. Come out and have a good time while supporting a great cause. The bar is open for patrons over 21 years of age.Howlin' Booty (1)
