The turnoff from Jesse Hayes Road to Ice House Canyon Road is blocked by police and emergency vehicles due to what some local residents are calling a “shooter” situation or “hostage” situation. So far, the Globe-Miami Times has not been able to confirm which it is.
According to Globe Police, who are stationed at the turnoff to Hagen Road, people are being discouraged from gathering in that area or trying to access businesses or homes. One officer said, “It could get ugly, to be honest.”
