GLOBE- Fred Barcon, President of the Industrial Development Authority of Gila County, hosted a tour of five buildings in Miami for a group of artists interested in older buildings with high ceilings for large-scale artwork.

“Most of the commercial buildings in Globe-Miami are mixed-use with the retail space downstairs and living quarters upstairs. It’s an ideal fit for artists and artisans who need a retail storefront and affordable living space,” says Barcon.

Welcoming the group to Globe-Miami were Supervisor Humphrey, Mayor Gameros, Mayor Dalley, Joe Heatherly, Keith Watkins, Glen Lineberry, Molly Cornwell, Linda Oddonetto, Joni Maldonado and Sandy Palmer

  1. Did they also come to Globe?

    • I don’t believe they did. We just got information on this and it seems the group was concentrated in Miami only. Looking for an update from the IDA on this in the future.
