| Abelia C. (Billie) Tepe, 90, of Mesa passed away on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013.
She was born in Globe, Ariz. on April 17, 1923 and graduated from Globe High School. She was married to Tierso Guzman, Edward Contreras on Aug. 28, 1946, and then Ron Tepe in 1972. Billie worked for Motorola then made her career as a homemaker. She was an active member of LULAC and also had a great passion for dancing and fashion. Billie is preceded in death by her sister, Romie Moore. She is survived by her children, Bob and Maria Contreras, grandchildren, Angelica Maria Lavato and Robert Chesare Contreras; great-grandchildren, Dean and Brandi Coleman, Austin and Katelyn Contreras, Andrew and Kealan Lavato, Lily and Desmond Baio, Kailee Brown and TJ Williams, great-great grandchildren Kaydance and Kelli Coleman; and nephews, Louis and David Moore. Funeral arrangements were held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013 at Funeraria Melcher Chapel of the Roses.
