The Trojanovich Home: Built 1904
Cedar Hill Bed & Breakfast 1992 – Present
Built in 1904 by Anton Trojanovich, who came to Globe in the early 1900’s and started the Globe Lumber Yard.
His lumber business thrived during the mining boom. It is said that at that time over 35 mines were operating in the area. In addition to copper, there were small silver mines, gold mines and other precious metals.
In the 60s and 70’s the home was converted to a series of small efficiency apartments.
It was purchased in 1992 by Helen Gross, who was in her 70’s at the time and she established the name “Cedar Hill” and opened the home up to visitors and traveling contract personnel. She operated the bed and breakfast herself for ten years, until her daughter, Linda, joined her in 2002.
Cedar Hill Bed and Breakfast reflects the style of many turn-of-the-century older
homes with the high ceilings and original woodwork throughout. The metal roof was replaced in the 40’s.
