Beginning this summer, you’ll start to see these colorful decals in many of our old buildings. They are QR codes which can be scanned by any smartphone and the link to historical information about the building.

If you don’t have a smart phone, you can read about our old buildings here. But we know you’ll have a better time strolling the sidewalks and viewing the actual building while you scan for it’s history!

Each listing also has information on the current business and hours of operation.

This program was launched by Globe Miami Times who helped us get the ball rolling on this idea and helped us set up a wordpress website of our own to host the “PAGES OF HISTORY” right here on the Globe Main Street site.
