The City of Globe will be hosting a community meeting to discuss the recent tragic events of Sunday, November 11th, at Jammerz Bar, where three members of our community have been taken from us. The purpose of this meeting is to bring together community leaders to start a dialog on how we can support the healing of each other and our community, and to share resources with individuals so they can gain from the support of others.
The meeting will take place Tuesday, November 20th, 6 p.m., at Miami High School auditorium at 4739 Ragus Rd., Miami, AZ 85539.
Globe Mayor Al Gameros will host the meeting along with Chairman Terry Rambler, of the San Carlos Apache Tribe, and Mayor Darryl Dalley, of the Town of Miami.
At this meeting we will:
- Review most current accurate information by Globe Police Department
- Discuss our strengths and sense of community
- Discuss trauma and grief and the resources available
- Make grief counselors and victim advocates available
- Give you the opportunity to talk and share with other Individuals within our community
The community needs current accurate information about the event, and where they can find help to gothrough the grieving process.Local representatives of our social services and faith based communities will be in attendance and provide support.Anyone who has been affected directly or indirectly by this senseless act of violence should come. There will be help, help with all levels of emotional hurdles that everyone in the community is going through.You will be given an opportunity to ask questions and share your feelings with the community or privately if you would like.Please share this opportunity with friends and family, our goal is to reach everyone in the community.
