Bats and Broomsticks Bash! 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Historic Train Depot

A Halloween themed fun-fundraiser in family mixer style for the Cobre Valley Center for the Arts, put on in partnership with the CVCA, the Globe Downtown Association and the City of Globe.  Tickets are only $13 each and all ages will be wrist-banded at the door.

After a full fun day at the Apache Jii festival in downtown, prepare to stay the night and enjoy all the wonderful happenings in historic downtown Globe.

The Bats & Broomsticks Bash will be held at the Train Depot for the benefit of the CVCA. Live music by the Centennial Jazz Ensemble (with monster mash additional fun during breaks), Pinterest-proud Halloween finger foods and cocktails at the no-host bar, door prizes, CVCA and GDA member additional door prizes, raffles, contests, carnival games and more!

“To costume or not to costume, that is the question…” By popular request, bring on the costumes and crazy hats galore! There will be a photo-op station, a professional and amazing face-painter, a “for the art of it” create onsite station, contests and silent auctions. Folks, these silent auction items are out of this world! There will be both a dessert social style auction with gorgeous and yummy cakes and pies (including a rumored, stunning Harry Potter proud custom sorting hat cake), coupled with a mixture of CVCA vault art and amazing artist donations.

We already have more than 50 items and additional donations are rolling in every day. Many of the larger auction items will start their bidding online and end in real-time Facebook-live fashion at the event (some are so amazing that they will carry over to our holiday gift auction in mid-December). So even if you live near or far, you can watch, play and bid with us to help us raise some funding for the CVCA, the old courthouse restorations and so much CVCA more.

In addition to everything else, we will also be kicking off our 5X5 “for the art of it” gifting/collecting series. We cannot wait for the fun!  Never fear, there will be tipping stations everywhere, so let’s show our love for the CVCA! Cash/Check/CC available on-site. The CVCA is a 501(C)-(3) tax deductible non-profit, so don’t be shy!

Many thanks in advance to all of our amazing volunteers, events team and members.  You have weathered quite a storm with us over the last few years and, for you, we are truly grateful and thankful.
