Arts Commission hosts Globe event to gather ideas on Arts Education in Schools

PHOENIX- Globe-Miami will be the site of a state-wide community conversation to discuss arts education in Arizona schools. The event will be held in Globe at the Center for the Arts on March 22nd. The series is hosted by the Arizona Commission on the Arts along with Arizona the Arizona Department of Education (ADE) and includes similar events at ten communities over a two month period.

These community conversations are free and open to the public.

According to ACA, the purpose of these community events is to

“hear insights, questions, and concerns and learn about the challenges and opportunities local communities see for their arts education in local schools.”

They encourage participation by students, teachers, teaching artists, community arts workers, administrators, parents, and policymakers.

Data collected through these community conversations will be reviewed by the Arts Advisory & Action Committee’s leadership team and communicated to education and civic leaders throughout the state.

You are invited to register for the Globe-Miami conversation which will take place at the Cobre Valley Center for the Arts on March 22nd, 4:30 pm – 6:30pm
