Palmer Report – St. Patrick’s Day

The days are becoming longer as we approach the spring equinox.  The kids in town are out on Spring Break filling the air with excitement. Even if allergies plague you relentlessly you can not help but appreciate the beauty of dessert flowers. With St. Patrick’s Day just around the corner I encourage you to venture out and about town. Experience the people of our community.

Going All Out Irish @ Farley’s Pub

Farley’s Pub will be hosting a full out Irish celebration this Thursday, March 17th. The celebration kicks off at 5pm with a live bagpipe performance. Reuben Sliders and Potato Salad will be served to appease the Irish appetite.  Come out and enjoy an authentic Guinness Draft. After the St. Patty’s Party the Drift Inn Saloon will be kicking off ladies night from 9pm until close. Matt D will be spinning the DJ table. A percentage of all proceeds will be going to benefit the Relay for Life efforts in Globe-Miami, Arizona.

 

Rockin’ High with Low Expectations @ Jammerz Bar

On Thursday, march 17th Low Expectations will be rockin’ the house at Jammerz Bar in Downtown Globe, Arizona. The music starts at about 9pm. Jammerz has an outside stage, fire pits, a pool table and two giant projection TV’s. Come out and have one hell of a St. Patty’s Day with Sara, Jean and the guys of Low Ex.

Testing Out a ‘New Direction’ @ Shamrock Bar and Dance Hall

A brand new band is coming to town for St. Patty’s Day at the Shamrock Bar in Claypool, AZ. New Direction is the most recent project of guitar player Brian Vadnais. “We are a variety band that plays rock, classic rock, country, blues, and Spanish music. It is something new for all of us.” says Brian. The band begins the serenade early at about 8pm. Start the night out getting down on the Shamrock  dance floor, kick it on the outside smokers patio or battle your buds in one of the three separate pool table rooms.

 

 

Spring Break Party Supplies

With Spring Break in full swing it is important to know where you can stock up on party supplies. Smoke’m Miami is a traditional cigarette shop with E-Cigs, Vapes and other supplies available. The Habit Smoke is more of an alternative smoke shop; they have cigars, tobacco pipes and medicinal utensils.  The Beverage House is there for your alcoholic beverage needs. All of these shops are located just off Highway 60 in Western Globe, Arizona.
