Lane restrictions on US 60 and 70 scheduled to begin May 31

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for overnight lane restrictions and delays on US 60 and US 70 near Globe and Miami starting Sunday, May 31.

Crews will be completing pavement preservation work from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night in the following locations:

  • US 60 between Miami and the Pinto Creek Bridge (milepost 238 to 243). Motorists should expect pilot cars and alternating lane restrictions while crews complete crack sealing along this section of highway.
  • US 60 from Miami to Globe (milepost 243 to 252). Motorists will encounter intermittent delays while crews install new striping on the highway.
  • US 70 between Globe and Peridot (milepost 252 to 270). Motorists will encounter intermittent delays while crews install new striping on the highway.

All of the work is expected to take about one week.

Motorists should allow extra travel time and use caution around construction personnel and equipment.
