Gila County Covid Cases

As cases have increased, we are adding this page to track cases in Gila County as they are reported.  We show the most recent report on top, going back to June 11th. 

JUNE 20: (pending #120 – #143)

1.Case #115: Is a resident of Globe, female in her 80s. Transmission is due to close contact with a known positive case.
2. Case #116: Is a resident of Globe, female in her 60s. Transmission is due to close contact with a known positive case.
3. Case #117: Is a resident of Globe, female in her 70s. Transmission is due to close contact with a known positive case.
4. Case #116: Is a resident of Globe, male in his 30s. Transmission is due to close contact with a known positive case.
5. Case #119: Is a resident of Payson; associated with the long-term care facility (RCH) in Payson. 

: Gila County Health Department:  New cases #120 – plus , reported in Medsis are pending further investigation.

JUNE 19: (pending #115 – #125)

  1. Case #105: Is a resident of Payson, female, age group 0-19. Transmission is due to close contact with a known positive case.
  2. Case #106: Is a resident of Claypool, female in her 30s. Transmission is community spread.
  3. Case #107: Is a resident of Payson, male in his 30s. Transmission is due to close contact with an unknown positive case.
  4. Case #108: Is a resident of Payson, female in her 50s. Transmission is community spread.
  5. Case #109: Is a resident of Globe, male in his 50s. Transmission is due to close contact with a known positive case.
  6. Case #110: Is a resident of Globe, female in her 40s. Transmission is community spread.
  7. Case #111: Is a resident of Winkelman, female in her 40s. Transmission is community spread.
  8. Case #112: Is a resident of Payson, female in her 50s; and is associated with the long-term care facility (RCH) in Payson.
  9. Case #113: Is a resident of San Carlos, male in his 60s. Transmission is community spread.
  10. Case #114: Is a resident of Payson, female in her 50s; and is associated with the long-term care facility (RCH) in Payson.

NOTE: from GCHealthDept: Currently, we are still working with our tribal partners in San Carlos on critical information that helps us determine county jurisdiction, physical location (e.g., Globe, San Carlos, etc.), and source of transmission.  As of this morning there are nine (9) new cases reported in Medsis.

JUNE 18: 

  • Case #103: Is a resident of Globe, male in his 40s. Transmission is due to close contact with a known positive case.
  • Case #104: Is a resident of San Carlos, male in his 30s. Investigation is ongoing.
  • NOTE from GCHealthDept: Currently, the ADHS dashboard indicates we have 115 cases in Gila County. We are currently investigating those additional confirmed positive cases that were reported to us in Medsis.  We do know that some of these cases reside in San Carlos; however, we have not been able to determine if these cases are in Gila County. We continue to work diligently with our tribal partners to resolve these issues. We have been assured that all cases and close contacts are currently under quarantine in San Carlos. We have confirmed several are from another county and have transferred those cases

JUNE 17:

We have confirmed six (6) additional confirmed positive cases in Gila County.

  1. Cases #96-97: Are residents of Payson and are associated with the long-term care facility (RCH) in Payson.
  2. Case #98: Is a resident of Payson, male in his 80s. Investigation is ongoing.
  3. Case #99: Is a resident of Miami, female, 0-19 age group. Investigation is ongoing.
  4. Case #100: Is a resident of Miami, female, 0-19 age group. Investigation is ongoing.
  5. Case #101: Is a resident of Globe, male, 0-19 age group. Transmission is due to close contact with a known positive case.
  6. Case#102: Is a resident of Payson and is associated with the long-term care facility (RCH) in Payson.

    JUNE 16: 

    We have confirmed fourteen (14) additional confirmed positive cases in Gila County.

    1. Case #82: Is a resident of San Carlos, male in his 30s. Transmission is due to close contact with a known positive case.
    2. Case #83: Is a resident of San Carlos, male in his 30s. Transmission is due to close contact with a known positive case.
    3. Case #84: Is a resident of San Carlos, female in her 40s. Transmission is due to close contact with a known positive case.
    4. Case #85: Is a resident of San Carlos, male in his 20s. Transmission is likely to be community spread.
    5. Case #86: Is a resident of San Carlos, female in her 40s. Transmission is due to close contact with a known positive case.
    6. Case #87: Is a resident of Globe, male in his 50s. Transmission is due to close contact with a known positive case.
    7. Case #88: Is a resident of Payson, male in his 70s; and is associated with long-term care facility (RCH) in Payson.
    8. Case #89: Is a resident of Globe, male in his 30s. Transmission is due to close contact with a known positive case from another county.
    9. Case #90: Is a resident of Miami, female, 0-19 age group. Transmission is due to close contact with a known positive case from another county.
    10. Case #91: Is a resident of San Carlos, male in his 50s. Transmission is likely to be community spread.
    11. Case #92: Is a resident of San Carlos, female in her 60s. Investigation is ongoing.
    12. Case #93: Is a resident of Claypool, female in her 50s. Transmission is likely to be community spread from another county.
    13. Case #94: Is a resident of Globe, female in her 60s. Transmission is due to close contact with a known positive case.
    14. Case #95: Is a resident of Globe, female in her 30s. Transmission is due to close contact with a known positive case.

JUNE 15:

We have confirmed two (2) additional cases in Gila County.

  • Case #80: Is a resident of Miami, female in her 60s. Transmission is due to close contact with a known positive case.
  • Case #81 is a resident of Globe, female in her 60s. Transmission is due to close contact with a known positive case.

JUNE 14: 

We have confirmed 6 additional cases in Gila County.

 

  • Case #74 Is a resident of Globe, female in her 50s. Transmission is due to close contact with a known positive case.
  • Case #75 is a resident of Globe, male in his 90s. Transmission is due to close contact with a known positive case.
  • Case#76 is a resident of Globe, male in his 40s. Transmission is due to close contact with a known positive case.
  • Case #77 is a resident of Globe, male in his 40s, Transmission is likely due to community spread.
  • Case #78 is a resident of Globe, male in his 40s, Transmission is due to close contact with a known positive case.
  • Case #79 is a resident of Globe, female in her 50s. Transmission is due to close contact with a known positive case.

JUNE 13: 

Here are the numbers for Gila County today.  We have confirmed 17 additional positive cases:

Current hospitalizations – three (3) one (1) in Payson, two (2) in Globe

  • Case #57: Is a resident of Globe, male in his 60s. Transmission is due to close contact with a known positive case.
  • Case #58: Is a resident of Globe, male in his 50s. Transmission is due to close contact with a known positive case.
  • Case #59: Is a resident of Globe, female in her 20s. Transmission is due to close contact with a known positive case.
  • Cases #60-67: Are cases associated with a long-term care facility in Payson. Six (6) of those cases are in the 65+ age group, two (2) of those cases in the 55-64 age group. Transmission is due to close contact with a known positive.
  • Case #68: Is a resident of Globe, male 0-19 age group. Transmission is due to close contact with a known positive case.
  • Case #69: Is a resident of Globe, female in her 30s. Transmission is due to close contact with a known positive case.
  • Case #70: Is a resident of Miami, male in his 60s. Investigation is ongoing.
  • Case #71: Is a resident of Globe, male 0-19 age group. Investigation is ongoing.
  • Case #72: Is a resident of Payson, female in her 60s. Investigation is ongoing.
  • Case #73: Is a resident of Payson, male in his 60s. Investigation is ongoing.

JUNE 12: 

Here are the numbers for Gila County today.  We have confirmed four additional positive cases:

  • Case #53: Is a resident of Payson, male in his 50s. Transmission is likely to be travel-related from another state.
  • Case #54: Is a resident of Payson, female in her 50s. Transmission is likely to be travel-related from another state.
  • Case #55: Is a resident of Globe, female in her 20s. Transmission is likely to be community spread.
  • Case #56: Is a resident of Globe, male in his 50s. Transmission is likely to be community spread.

JUNE 11: 

Here are today’s numbers. Today, we have also confirmed four additional positive cases:

  • Case #49: Is a resident of Payson, male in his 40s. Transmission is due to close contact with a known positive case from another county.
  • Case #50: Is a resident of Globe, female in her 30s. Transmission is likely to be travel-related to another county.
  • Case #51: Is a resident of San Carlos, male, age between 0-19. Transmission is to close contact with a known positive case.
  • Case #52: Is a resident of San Carlos, female in her 30s. Transmission is to close contact with a known positive case.
