The City of Globe is currently recruiting city residents to apply to serve on several City advisory groups. The groups include: Planning & Zoning, the Library Committee, Parks & Recreation, the Tree Committee, the Water Advisory Committee and the Public Safety Committee.
Serving the community in this role is a great way to raise awareness and support important community issues. Residents may serve on only one board, commission or committee at a time. Aimee Staten has worn several hats over the last few years, but she recently put on one of her more familiar caps after four years of working in nonprofits: That of a journalist. She has 14 years of experience in the news business as a reporter with eight of those years as the managing editor of the Eastern Arizona Courier.
