Tri-City Fire District will hold its annual open house at its Claypool station on Saturday, Oct. 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Help Tri-City celebrate another year of service to the community and raise awareness about fire safety!
Tri-City will have firefighting vehicles, equipment and helicopters open for families to explore. There will be raffles, giveaways, goodie bags, plus hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks.
This year, the Gila County Public Health Department and the Miami High School Anti-Tobacco squad will be at the open house with pig lungs to demonstrate healthy lungs. They will also have tobacco “quit kits” and other resources available. The Health Department, along with Copper Basin Coalition, will also present information on Naloxone (the drug that can reverse an opioid overdose) and will have Naloxone “recovery kits” available.
