CASA 30 years of changing children’s lives

GILA COUNTY- CASA of Gila County will celebrate their 30th anniversary of serving children in the area, by hosting an event at High Desert Middle School in Globe on March 16th between noon and 1 p.m. The event is open to the public and cake and refreshments will be offered during a special training event co-sponsored by CASA of Gila County.

CASA, which  has been changing lives and making a difference for children in Gila County since 1988 has served over 624 children with volunteer advocates putting in over 34,519 volunteer hours.

Arizona currently has over 18,000 foster children and our CASA volunteers serve to make the child’s dream of a safe and loving family a reality. If you want to make a difference in a child’s life, consider becoming a super hero by joining us as a Gila County CASA volunteer.

Our volunteers get free comprehensive training that empowers them to help a foster child with their court case and the position typically takes 2-5 hours per week. To learn more, contact Coordinators, Patti Dremler in Payson 928-474-7145 or Emily Leverance in Globe 928-402-4427.
