After much deliberation, we at the Globe Downtown Association have decided to change gears for the 2020, 24th Annual Globe Downtown Christmas Light Parade. There will be NO formal organized light parade which encourages the gathering of many people both on the floats, and off. Instead, we are going to work on a major lights and decor plan with the businesses & buildings downtown to encourage people to enjoy over and again throughout the month. In small healthy groups people can walk and/or drive by to visit, stop, shop and enjoy our downtown in a responsible and healthy way during this pandemic. We are diligently working on the specifics of the plan to roll out and implement prior to the original 2nd Saturday’s event date. We encourage that if you love to participate in the parade as an entry, that you consider adopting a business, and/or a section of Globe historic downtown to help to light it up in a way like we’ve never seen before. We are a community most blessed, and stronger because we all work together.
