Who should lead Globe and Miami?

Ahead of this year’s July 21 primary election, Globe Miami Times and the Globe-Miami Chamber of Commerce will host public candidate forums for the city and town council races in Globe and Miami.

The forums, scheduled for June 17 and 18 at Bullion Plaza Cultural Center & Museum, will give voters an opportunity to hear candidates discuss local issues and their perspectives on governing the communities.

In Globe, council seats representing districts 3, 4, 5 and 6 are up for reelection, with District 5 as the only contested race. In Miami, eight candidates — including four incumbents — are running for four open council seats.
