Open letter from Miami Councilman

Open letter to Gila County, Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management, and ADOT

Posted

Friends, I would like to share my thoughts about some concerns that I have.

First: ADOT, as one approaches the Town of Miami from the east on Highway 60, I feel that if the first traffic light was switched to flashing yellow on Highway 60 and red on Miami Avenue, I believe the larger heavily loaded tractor-trailers would have an advance warning or alert of the upcoming light on Keystone Avenue.

Second: to the Department of Forestry and Gila County. The service road from Mackey’s Camp to Cherry Flats is in dire need of maintenance. To all, I have been looking for what is known as a granite pit. In the past, granite improved trails and filled some potholes.

Also, I have noticed piles of asphalt milling material along some roads in eastern parts of our state that could be used as fill for potholes.

If anyone can help me with information or leads, please contact me, Councilman Jose Angel Medina Sr., at 928-200-0820 or at jamedinasr@gmail.com.

I will immediately relay your information to the Town of Miami Council and the town manager.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Angel
