Cheryl Comer, born Cheryl Jeanne Comerford, passed away in Scottsdale, Arizona on Jan. 25, 2026. Cheryl was born in Cortland, New York on Nov. 24, 1944 to Harold Vance Comerford and Bernice Gertrude (nee Stevens) Comerford. Cheryl had three older brothers, Kenneth “Kenny” Comerford (10 years older), Thomas ”Tommy” Comerford (eight years older), and Robert “Bobby” Comerford (five years older).
At the age of three, Cheryl and her family relocated to Globe, Arizona with the hope of providing her brother Kenny with relief of his severe asthma. Cheryl would later graduate from Globe High School in 1962 and enrolled at the University of Arizona that fall.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her mother Bernice, father Harold, her three brothers Kenny, Tommy, and Bobby, and her second husband, Wayne.
Cheryl is survived by her sons John and Jeff, stepson Wayne Paul, stepdaughter Michelle, her grandchildren, Tori Brianne, Sabrina, Lydia, Lincoln, Logan, Quinn, Kai, and Dolan. Cheryl is also survived by her two great grandsons, Ryder and River, her nephews Sean and Shea Comerford, as well as Brian and Kevin Comerford and niece Dawn Talbot (nee Comerford).
