After abruptly halting operations of the Arizona Silver Belt at the beginning of August, along with dozens of other rural publications nationwide, News Media Corporation has found a new buyer that will keep the Arizona Silver Belt on newsstands after all.
On August 21, O’Rourke Media Group announced its acquisition of the Arizona Silver Belt, along with Copper Country News and the Lake Powell Chronicle, from News Media Corporation.
Jim O’Rourke, CEO and owner of O’Rourke Media Group, stated in a media release that he intends to retain the publications’ employees and freelancers.
O’Rourke Media Group operates in eight states and owns more than 55 publications.
