In 1995, the Globe High School Tigers etched their name into Arizona baseball history with one of the most dramatic finishes ever seen in a state championship game. Trailing in the bottom of the seventh against defending champion Safford, junior Jason Hocking delivered an inside-the-park grand slam, giving Globe a 9-8 victory and the school's first ever 3A Baseball Championship at the Peoria Sports Complex.
Under Coach Eldon Dallas, the tigers became one of Arizona's top programs, earning:
*State Runner-Up; 1991, 1994, 2000, 2001
*3A State Champions: 1995
*Conference & 3A State Champions: 1996-97 (24-3 record)
The 1995 team's never-quit attitude and unforgettable comeback cemented their legacy as champions and gave Globe a story for the ages.
