Gila County to open Disaster Assistance Center Wed. Oct 1

Globe, AZ – September 30, 2025 – Residents of Gila County, who were impacted by recent flooding, will soon have access to in-person recovery services. A Disaster Assistance Center (DAC) will open on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at the Gila County Fairgrounds, 900 E Fairground Rd, Globe, AZ 85501, operating daily from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The DAC will bring together multiple agencies and organizations offering:

  • Clean-up and debris removal support
  • Emotional and spiritual care
  • Crisis counseling and unmet needs assistance
  • Help replace IDs and important documents
  • Additional services as identified
  • Residents should bring identification and be prepared to describe their needs.

All services are free.
