Grow your scientific, communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills while exploring the University of Arizona! S.T.E.A.M. in Action is inviting high school students — including students that are transitioning from middle school to their freshman year and students that plan to graduate in 2026 — to attend our summer training in Tucson.
High school students get five days of hands-on environmental science exposure while staying in the dorms at the University of Arizona’s Tucson campus, receiving microcredential badges in areas such as environmental science, research methodologies and science communication. This is a FREE opportunity to students in communities across the corridor that includes housing and food costs. Programming is offered June 21-26 and July 5-10. Only 40 spots are available each week.
