GLOBE, AZ — Gila Community College and Arizona State University’s Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation have launched a new degree pathway for future teachers, hosting an on-site event at the college's Gila Pueblo Campus on Friday, Oct. 30.

"The partnership lets students earn a bachelor’s degree in elementary education or special education in three years without leaving the area. It is meant to help local residents become teachers close to home and then work in local classrooms."

The pathway is open to first-time college students and to adults considering a career change.

Look for an in-depth interview about the program in an upcoming edition.
