IDA Hosts Artists interested in local buildings

GLOBE- Fred Barcon, President of the Industrial Development Authority of Gila County, hosted a tour of five buildings in Miami for a group of artists interested in older buildings with high ceilings for large-scale artwork.

"Most of the commercial buildings in Globe-Miami are mixed-use with the retail space downstairs and living quarters upstairs. It's an ideal fit for artists and artisans who need a retail storefront and affordable living space," says Barcon.

Welcoming the group to Globe-Miami were Supervisor Humphrey, Mayor Gameros, Mayor Dalley, Joe Heatherly, Keith Watkins, Glen Lineberry, Molly Cornwell, Linda Oddonetto, Joni Maldonado and Sandy Palmer.
