Gila Community College and the Maricopa County Community College District have entered into a new partnership to expand support services for small businesses across Gila County through the Arizona Small Business Development Center Network. MCCCD is the state-wide host of the network.
The agreement between the two college districts is effective May 1 through December 31 of this year, and establishes a coordinated framework in which the Maricopa Small Business Development Center — one of 10 centers within the network — will provide one-to-one, no-fee, confidential business advising; no-cost and low-cost workshops; and access to specialized business development tools for entrepreneurs and small business owners in Globe-Miami, as well as Payson.
Ten advisors are available for scheduled appointments. Sessions may be conducted in person or virtually. Gila Community College provides confidential meeting space, secure internet access, and printing capabilities to support on-site advising.
Counselors are regularly available to meet virtually and plan to be onsite at the Gila Pueblo campus in Globe on July 1, July 9 (the same day as the Moonshot Rural Arizona Pitch Competition), July 16, August 12 and August 20. Maricopa SBDC Program is also scheduled to present at the Globe-Miami Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, September 10.
