*****UPDATE ****
As a precautionary measure following the recent water line break near Cutter, the The City of Globe Water Department, in conjunction with Gila County Public Health and Community Services, has issued a Boil Water Notice for all City of Globe water customers.
Public Works crews have flushed the lines, and testing is underway to ensure water quality meets all safety standards.
This advisory is being issued due to recent water breaks caused by the multiple flood events this past weekend, which may have allowed harmful bacteria or other microorganisms to enter the water system.
Starting Wednesday, October 15, 2025 through October 16, 2025 at midnight, all water intended for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes should be boiled.
In the meantime, bottled water is available for pick up at the Globe-Miami Chamber of Commerce, while supplies last.
The City of Globe will continue testing to confirm that the weater is safe to drink. Residents can anticipate receiving an additional advisory by the City of Globe with the 24 hour period. All updates will be provided through the City of Globe website, Facebook, and through the City of Globe app.
Boiling water kills bacteria, viruses, and other organisms that can cause disease. This precaution helps protect your health and that of your family.
