Traffic stop nets 232.5 grams of meth

The Gila County Drug, Gang, and Violent Crimes Task Force seized approximately 232.5 grams of Methamphetamine along with various items of drug paraphernalia. The methamphetamine seized has a street value of $23,250.

A traffic stop on Saturday netted more than $23,000 worth of meth and resulted in safer streets in the Globe Miami area.On Jan. 6 at approximately 8:14 p.m. the Gila County Drug, Gang, and Violent Crimes Task Force conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Highway 60 and Marian Street in Claypool.  A search was conducted on the subjects and vehicle.

The Gila County Drug, Gang, and Violent Crimes Task Force seized approximately 232.5 grams of Methamphetamine along with various items of drug paraphernalia. The methamphetamine seized has a street value of $23,250.  

The following individuals were arrested and charged:

Michael John Formiller, 62, of Globe was arrested for Transportation of a Dangerous Drug for Sale, Possession of a Dangerous Drug for Sale, Possession of a Dangerous Drug and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Mark Alan Riley, 53, of Globe was arrested for Transportation of a Dangerous Drug for Sale, Possession of a Dangerous Drug for Sale, Possession of a Dangerous Drug, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, warrant out of the Gila County Sheriff’s Office for Contempt of Court, and two warrants out of the Globe Police Departments for Contempt of Court.
