Paul was one day shy of turning 75 years old. He was 74 when he passed away on Jan. 17, 2014.
He was born on Jan. 18, 1939 in Tucumccari, N.M., the son of Joel Smithers Chambers and Edna Pearl Moore Chambers.
He worked in construction as a truck driver for many years.
Paul loved his sisters, brother and nephews and nieces. He enjoyed taking short trips to various places close to Globe. On these trips, he would take advantage of learning about the history of those places.
Paul enjoyed visiting his friends either in person or on the phone. He experienced joy from reading his Bible and attending church services. He loved Mexican food.
He served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force for four years.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leon; and sister, Debbie.
He is survived by his wife, Penny; sisters, Pamela (Michael) Murphy, Phyllis Wales, brother-in-law James (Lajan) Irvine, and sister-in-law Barbara Jean Chambers; along with several nephews and nieces.
Visitation were held on Monday, Jan. 27, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at Central Height Baptist Church in Central Heights, Ariz.
Funeral Services will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the church.
Interment will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Arizona National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix, Ariz.
