Historic Downtown Neighborhood
After nearly 20 years, I am ready to pass the torch on my family’s unique ca. 1910 home.
Our home in Globe, Arizona has served us well as a bed and breakfast and boarding house for travelers, as well as a temporary senior living home – all the while being my personal residence and home office for my publishing business.
My own short story, is that I moved from Tucson to Globe to take care of my mother in 2001, and started a newspaper, The Globe Miami Times, which is going into its’ 14th year.
As a publisher, B&B host, landlord and community member, I could not ask for a better home, better location or better community over the years.

It’s been a great place for two decades to host outdoor parties, breakfast with travelers from all over the world, and share family get togethers and community events. Its location, just one block from Globe’s historic district, means you can walk to most everything; from the bank and the grocery store to the iconic Arts Center, historic Train Depot, and one of my favorite area restaurants, BLOOM, known for ‘Asian Artisan’ cuisine.
Of course, any discussion of food in Globe-Miami would be incomplete without talking about our famous
Globe-Miami Mexican Restaurants which are the best in the state. Yes, people drive from Phoenix,
just to get their fix of fine, authentic Mexican food.
While we take our food seriously, it isn’t the only thing that brings people to Globe.
We have some of the greatest blue-sky weather and 360 views!
The community is surrounded by the Pinal Mountains and Tonto National Forest .
Southern Gila County Outdoor Recreation offers a wide variety of
rock climbing, Bird Watching, hiking, RV andoff-road adventures,
white water rafting on the Salt River,
PLUS
fishing, kayaking and boating on

INTERIOR VIEWS: Classic interiors befitting a heritage home.
While the look has evolved over the years as the photos below indicate, the home has remained true to its roots as a heritage home and its role as host to travelers and boarders.
Perfect for a personal residence or a bed and breakfast, the main house includes 3 large bedrooms, 2 baths, dining porch, living room and a bonus third-floor loft with nearly 900 sq ft of spacious living space.
The loft was personally used by the owner for years while running a bed and breakfast [up to 2016] and a newspaper [current] out of the house. As the publisher of the region’s popular monthly publication, The Globe Miami Times, the home provided an idea location to be in the heart of the community and close to the downtown district.
The third-floor loft offers plenty of room for a personal living space and home office, with upgraded electrical and direct cable service designed to meet the needs of a home office which relies on technology and connection.
Hardwood floors and new appliances plus plenty of storage space make this kitchen a pleasure. [note: the kitchen was repainted yellow in 2018]
Bonus Income: Apartment Living
Two additional living spaces below the main house have been completely remodeled into one and two bedroom fully-furnished apartments with their own entrances on the west side.
Two-bedroom unit opens out to rear yard; one-bedroom opens onto smaller yard on west side of house.
Both apartments are fully furnished and have enjoyed full occupancy since coming online in 2001. They have upgraded flooring, fixtures and appliances.
