BTA- AZ residents are invited to visit Boyce Thompson Arboretum and other State Parks for free Jan. 14-15-16 during a statewide celebration of Az State Parks’ 60th Anniversary. Governor Doug Ducey announced the open-house weekend Monday during his State of the State address: a special promotion that acknowledges State Parks anniversary and also the Martin Luther King Jr holiday. Free admission is offered to Arizona residents (present your AZ drivers’s license or other valid AZ identification to get free admission) and the offer’s valid at Boyce Thompson Arboretum and at all Arizona State Parks – with specific exceptions made for Kartchner Caverns and Riordan Mansion. * Daily guided walking tours at 11:00 (every day of January-February)
* Saturday Jan. 14 Edible & Medicinal Desert Plants guided walk at 1:30 pm
