Art Center recognizes Johnu Brown as 2016 Volunteer of the Year

Globe-Miami — The Cobre Valley Center for the Arts held their annual meeting for CVCA members, January 10. The meeting was well attended and the CVCA Board of Directors recognized departing members Melva DalMolin, Dixie Mundy, Marian Reams and David Rogers.

The members were introduced to Charlene Giles of the Globe City Council who is joining the board as the City’s liaison.

The Board honored Johnu Brown as the 2016 Volunteer of the Year, for his contributions to the Center for the Arts. Johnu regularly lends his assistance to the CVCA throughout the year. Rarely is there a class, event or fundraiser that Johnu has not contributed to its success. We are honored by his self-less help.

The Center for the Arts also inducted two new members as Honorary Lifetime Members to the CVCA. David Rogers, who has served the board for eight consecutive years as Treasurer, and Marian Reams, who has served eight years as the board’s secretary. The CVCA has benefited from their years of service and cannot thank them enough for all they have done.

The meeting concluded after electing Dr. Mike Bryan, Debby Jennex, Pearl Nancarrow, Willy Thomas and Jason Marr to serve as members on the Cobre Valley Center for the Arts Board.
